Did you participate in track or cross country in high school or college?
Yes, in high school I ran track, mainly high hurdles and 200 meters.
How long have you been running?
After a long layoff, I started running again in 2012. After dealing with some health issues, I hope to start training more regularly in 2016. Other than running, I enjoy playing basketball and golf with my 2 sons.
I plan to focus on running 5K’s, with a long term goal of become more competitive in my age group.
What do you consider to be your top running accomplishments?
In track, I was a top-five hurdler in New York City throughout high school. More recently, my top accomplishment was completing my first marathon in 2014 (Houston).
Why are you involved with BRC?
I started doing Sunday runs back in 2012 and really enjoyed the great group of people, so I became a member.
How long have you been on the board?
It is a great honor to serve on such a dynamic board. I have been the Treasurer since joining the board in 2013, handling all the finance activities.
Do you have any favorite memories from your time with BRC?
Although I get there infrequently, I really enjoy the Sunday runs, especially the swim and group breakfast afterwards.
How does BRC positively impact the community?
The scholarship program and charity fundraising done during Thanksgiving are two great examples of the work done by the BRC. I hope we can to continue to expand the work we do in the community.
What is your career?
I manage mergers and acquisitions for Crown Castle, a telecommunications company. I am also a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to the BRC, I have served as the Treasurer on two other boards – the West Side Campaign Against Hunger, one of the largest food pantries in NYC, and Little Angels Day Care Center in Westchester, NY.
